Donnie and Marie Go Water Skiing
April 13, 2007 – 6:59 amHere’s one for all you Donnie and Marie Osmond fans. I was with a group of friends at some lake where we were all taking turns water skiing. The next couple to get into the water were Donnie and Maries Osmond, although Donnie wasn’t Donnie…but he was. It was weird.
So they start water skiiing and the view I have of them is like I’m traveling along through the air just above and to the left of them, like a camera angle of someone water skiing if you were to see it in a movie. They’re going along fine, and then he lifts her on his shoulders where she stays for a few seconds then starts to fall behind him head first toward the water!
My feelings are ones of utter horror as I’m expecting that she is going to smash into the water and break her neck or get injured really badly some other way. However, when she hits the water, she immediately bounces back up in the air and back onto his shoulders. It was a trick! She did it on purpose!
So there they were, Donnie and Marie Osmond, doing a variety of stunts that involved bouncing off the water, sometimes in the air doing flips and twirls for a quarter of a mile or more. Defying the laws of physics, as I watched in awe.
Man, those two are talented!
